“Last Week Tonight” Takes On Robocalls

Last Week Tonight’s John Oliver is just as sick of robocalls as you are. Yes, it turns out the billions of malicious calls to people’s cell phones every year have finally made an impression. And not just with the often times elderly or less tech-savvy owners of phones who fall victim to scams and harassment.

But what’s to be done? Will the FCC impose regulations on telecoms to limit the number of scam calls? Will AT&T and Verizon implement reforms to lock down their networks against this insanely annoying (and frequently criminal) plague? Ha.
