COURSERA.ORG One of the leading online learning platforms, Coursera.org partners with universities and industry leaders in a wide range of specializations to create focused, challenging courses at affordable rates. 2000+ courses and over 25 million students.
YouTube It may sound obvious, but YouTube is just about the best place to find instructional content. It can be hard to sort through some irrelevant videos but you will get better and better at searching once you learn some computer terms and phrasing.
/r/sysadmin  I have heard from several people in the IT world that this is a great place to learn everything. I am usually lost in the more technical discussions, but it seems like a great way to get used to what people deal with day to day. I am also enjoying reading /r/ITCareerQuestions/
TWiT This Week in Tech is a discussion panel show all about technological news. I really like host Leo Laporte's style. He's a dork and drives a Tesla, makes some shameless jokes here and there, and he's willing to criticize even the child-titans (*cough* Zuckerberg*cough*) of the industry. Discussions about technology and how it affects our lives at every level, from the minutiae of hardware to the profound questions about our future as a technological species. Enjoy the "netcast" or as a podcast.
FreeCodeCamp.org FCC is a great place to start learning to code. The lessons are quick and straightforward, and you can go at your own pace, and eventually, once you're further along, you can build projects for non-profits and charities.
Professor Messer I came across this site—this guy—when I was looking for CompTIA A+ study help. If you look up A+ study this will be one of the top sites.
Ars Technica A great site with a broad range of tech news. I remember way back when I first found it, it was only slightly more sophisticated than this site.
Motherboard Motherboard is the technology news site curated by Vice. That's all I need to say.
Emsisoft Blog is a great place to start learning about security. They make a great AV and have some good articles for the layperson.
Lenovo laptops are really nice. I especially like that they tend to be easy to repair. They are also available on Amazon in this nicely curated AFFILIATE LINK.
Krebs on Security is the online home of Brian Krebs, renowned security reporter. He's a leader in security journalism and a good writer, too. @briankrebs on Twitter. Check out his latest book here.
